The short video “Memphispano: Immigration Stories” (in Spanish, with English subtitles), created by students of Spanish at Lausanne Collegiate School, will be shown at Latino Memphis, 6041 Mt Moriah Rd Extended, Memphis, on Thursday, Jun. 13 at 6pm. The showing is free of charge.
The length of the video is under 15 minutes. In it, members of the local Hispanic/Latino community share experiences and perspectives on immigration and change. At the conclusion of the showing there will be an open discussion on the video and the perspectives raised by it.
Interviewees include Rafael Figueroa, Dolores Luna, Carmen Reyes, Alfredo Peña, Marisa Soto-Phipps, Rocío Rodríguez del Río, Agustín Díaz, Sandra Garcia, among others.
